Visit the WA Maritime Museum and Shipwrecks Museum on Sunday 16 October 2016 as we join Fremantle in celebrating the Dirk Hartog Festival!

Join in the fun as the Museum hosts:

-Follow the Trade Winds Trail at the Shipwrecks Museum.
-Create your own 3D Dutch trading ship and make rubbings of the replica dish that Dirk Hartog left at Cape Inscription at the WA Maritime Museum

Journey through central Perth and complete challenges in this interactive trail, curated especially by the Museum’s Anthropology and Archaeology Department. Explore different ways to think about objects and discover the stuff (or material culture) that enriches our day-to-day lives.

The trail is roughly 2.8 kilometres and can be completed on foot in about one hour. Each site has wheelchair access.

Dinosaur Zoo

Join us as we take a trip back in time when the Earth was younger and dinosaurs ruled the land.

Erth’s widely acclaimed Dinosaur Zoo theatre performance is bigger and better and heading to the WA Museum – Perth for the 2016 January school holidays.

The Dinosaur Zoo performance features a cast of amazingly life-like, large-scale dinosaur puppets that are bound to have everyone young and old on the edge of their seats.

Coast and Ocean - Geraldton Community Biodiversity Exhibition

The Geraldton community have joined artist Angela Rossen in a biodiversity project to discover and document the living things of the Geraldton coast. 

This exhibition of their artworks will take you on a discovery tour from the dunes to the fringing reefs showing the plants and animals that make the beaches of Geraldton so special.

Kep Kaatijin

Following booked out seasons in 2013 & 2014 Kep Kaatijin will return in 2015. This work will tour to Metropolitan Schools during the week and be performed free to families at the WA Museum, Perth on Saturdays, as well as to a limited number of outer Metro and Rural schools.

Kep Kaatijin commences it's 2015 season at the Western Australian Museum on the 14th of March 2015.
