If trees could talk ... An arboreal heritage walk featuring trees of Albany Sat 12 May 2018 10:30am – 12:00pm Museum of the Great Southern Albany is noted for its trees and many have individual stories to tell. Join Museum of the Great Southern Programs Officer, Malcolm Traill, performance poets Scott-Patrick Mitchell and Linda Bradbury, and Menang Elder, Harley Coyne, for a walk-and-talk through Albany's historic streets and discover more about the trees that fringe them. Walk departs from the Town Square at 10.30am and arrives at Vancouver Street Festival, via View Street and Cooinda Park, by 12.00pm. Cost per person is $5.00, and you will need to bring walking shoes, water and wet-weather gear if appropriate. The walk is uphill so reasonable mobility is required. This event is part of the City of Albany's Vancouver Street Festival, and is co-sponsored by the Vancouver Arts Centre.
