While their differences in appearance are considerable, they share certain characteristics in their development and body segmentation. Included in this class are the Cirripedia (barnacles), Copepoda (copepods) and the parasitic Branchiura (fish lice). Copepods are extremely important as they form the primary base of many food webs and many complex food chains are based around this herbivour. Crustacea Section
