White cotton nightgown. Long sleeves gathered at the shoulder and wrist. Gathered at front waist. Bodice cut from separate piece material to skirt at front. Back, one piece material with opening to waist line, & fastens with drawstring tie at neck. Bodice has two open-work insertions running from neck to waist. Attached to outside of each insertion, piece embroidered fabric - sewn on one side and left loose on other. Embroidered strips on sleeves, lace on neck. Ties attached to side seams at waistline. French side seams and sleeve seams. Flat seams where sleeves inserted onto bodice. Part hand, part machine sewn.
