Matches CH.1978.166. Cream satin with silk lining. Short-waisted, round waist. Wide round neck, with space for draw-tape. Front fastening with 4 satin-covered buttons, 1 hook at top and 2 at waist. Short "cap" sleeves, set in to shoulder with piping of same material. Boned. 2 short bones on each side of opening, and 1 behind buttons (original position). One on each side seam. Back cut in 3 sections with curving seams shoulder to waistband (as CH.1978.166). Lace had been added - (to be removed) seams, darts. Machine sewn. Sleeves and bones set in by hand.
