Small rectangular cardboard thread spool container with a light green patterned detachable lid and white bottom. ‘COATS/JUNIOR SPOOL’ printed on lid top in white and black with chain link circle and ‘Super SHEEN/FAST COLOUR’ printed in white on a green and red circle. ‘Cotton Thread Made in Great Britain/12 Spools each 80 Yards (73 Metres)’ and ‘J.& P. COATS’ printed on side of lid. ‘Art No. x669/50 CHAIN’ printed on lid end. Small rectangular section cut out lid end. White sticker marked ‘635.’ attached to box end. ‘E65UA’ ink stamped on bottom. 11 wooden spools of green cotton thread inside including two spools of colours 693, 689, 486, 474, and one each of 8512, 938, 475. ‘J.& P. COATS/80 YARDS/73 METRES’ printed in green on cream sticker with a red border. ‘MERCER COTTON FAST COLOUR MR’ printed in red on cream sticker at other end.
