Six large rectangular tan coloured cardboard thread containers. Three quarters of lid covered with woven material print. Lid top printed in blue with ‘ANCHOR’ and a blue anchor. ‘CLARK’S’ printed in black above and ‘FAST COLOUR/Pearl Cotton’ printed below. ‘(anchor)/CLARK & CO.PAISLEY’ printed on each side of lid. ’10 BALLS EACH 10 GRAMMES ART.No./4591/Made in Great Britain M.R’ printed on one end of lid. 25mm long rectangular section cut out of one end to reveal sticker on container bottom.
[.1] Base covered in same woven print as lid. ‘(anchor) CLARK & CO. PAISLEY’ printed in black on base bottom. ‘Pearl Cotton No. 12/ANCHOR’ and anchor symbol printed on one end of lid. ‘609’ printed in black on cream sticker on end of bottom. Folded rectangular piece of yellowed tissue paper inside.
[.2] Base covered in same woven print as lid. ‘(anchor) CLARK & CO. PAISLEY’ printed in black on base bottom. ‘Pearl Cotton No. 12/ANCHOR’ and anchor symbol printed on one end of lid. ‘700’ printed in white on red sticker on end of bottom. Folded rectangular piece of yellowed tissue paper inside.
[.3] Container bottom plain white and unmarked. ‘(anchor) CLARK & CO. PAISLEY’ printed in black on base bottom. ‘885/1203.’ printed in white on red sticker on one end of bottom. Folded rectangular piece of yellowed tissue paper inside.
[.4] Container bottom plain white and unmarked. One end of the lid has the anchor symbol, and is marked ‘Pearl Cotton No. 8/ANCHOR’. ‘466/027’printed in black on pink sticker on one end of bottom. Folded rectangular piece of yellowed tissue paper inside.
[.5] Container bottom plain white. . ‘Pearl Cotton No. 8/ANCHOR’ and anchor symbol printed on one end of lid. ‘413’printed in black on purple sticker on one end of bottom. 25mm long blue biro mark on container bottom.

PAISLEY’ printed in black on base bottom. ‘Pearl Cotton No. 12/ANCHOR’ and anchor symbol printed on one end of lid. ‘894/1213’ printed in black on green sticker on end of bottom.
