Small rectangular cardboard thread container with white bottom and light blue lid. 'COATS/Gossamer/THREAD/For Sewing/NYLON & SYNTHETIC/FABRICS/MADE FROM/”TERYLENE”/POLYESTER FIBRE’ printed on lid top in white and brown. ‘J. & P. COATS Gossamer THREAD’ printed on each side of lid. ‘ART No. N017/12 Spools each 100 Yards (92 Metres)/MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN' printed on one end of lid. ‘COATS Gossamer/100 YARDS THREAD’ printed on opposite end of lid. 25mm long rectangular section cut out of this end of lid to reveal a white sticker marked ’Y502.’ in black on container bottom. 'C273RA' printed on bottom.
