Small rectangular cardboard thread container with white bottom and light green patterned lid. ‘COATS/(chain link circle)/Super SHEEN/FAST COLOUR’ printed in white and black on lid top. Green oval behind ‘Super’ and red oval behind ‘Sheen’. ‘Super SHEEN J. & P. COATS CHAIN’ printed on each side of lid. ‘ART No. x672/Cotton Thread Made in Great Britain/12 Spools each 100 Yds. (92 Metres)’ printed on one end of lid. ‘(chain link circle) 40 Super SHEEN/CHAIN’ printed on opposite end of lid. 25mm long rectangular section cut out of this end to reveal light blue sticker marked ‘LT. BLUE 404’ in black on container bottom. ‘C71RA’ ink stamped and $5-5T handwritten in biro on container bottom.
