[.1] Small rectangular cardboard thread container with white bottom and light purple lid. ‘COATS/Gossamer/THREAD/For Sewing/NYLON & SYNTHETIC/FABRICS/MADE FROM/”TERYLENE”/POLYESTER FIBRE’ printed on lid top in white and black. ‘J. & P. COATS Gossamer THREAD’ printed on each side of lid. ‘ART No. N008/12 Spools each 50 Yards (45 Metres)/MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN’ printed on one end of lid with ‘COATS Gossamer/50 YDS. 45 MET.’ printed on opposite end. 25mm long rectangular section cut out of this end to reveal a white sticker marked ’Y619.’ in black on container bottom. ‘D7OOA’ ink stamped on container bottom.
[.2] Wooden thread spool with pale blue thread. ‘COATS/Gossamer/THREAD/For Fine Sewing/FOR NYLON & SYNTHETIC FABRICS’ printed on one end on mauve and cream sticker. ‘COATS/MADE FROM/”TERYLENE”/POLYESTER FIBRE/IN GT. BRITAIN/50 YDS.Y593 45 MET.’ printed on other end on cream sticker.
