Small rectangular cardboard thread spool container with a light green patterned detachable lid and white bottom. ‘COATS/JUNIOR SPOOL’ printed on lid top in white and black with chain link circle and ‘Super SHEEN/FAST COLOUR’ printed in white on a green and red circle. ‘Cotton Thread Made in Great Britain/12 Spools each 80 Yards (73 Metres)’ and ‘J.& P. COATS’ printed on side of lid. ‘Art No. x669/50 CHAIN’ printed on lid end. Small rectangular section cut out lid end. Green sticker marked ‘412.’ detached from side. ‘A84SA’ ink stamped on bottom. 12 wooden spools of cotton thread inside including are two spools of colour number 588 and 469, one each of 464,403, 533, 868, 509, 679, and two unmarked. Five spools are green, three are blue, two are orange, one is tan and one is purple. ‘J.& P. COATS/80 YARDS/73 METRES’ printed in green on cream sticker with a red border. ‘MERCER COTTON FAST COLOUR MR’ printed in red on cream sticker at other end.
