Cream coloured (possibly originally white) floral self-patterned silk damask tall folding cap with peaked front and back crests, stitched together at sides, with two short decorative flaps known as 'lappets' that hang down from the back; bronze-coloured brocade-like trim to edges of hat and lappets, woven green and bronze ribbon trim to base of cap and ends of lappets with bronze-coloured fringing to ends of lappets. Looped brocade ornamentation front centre.
Cover - sheer dark blue voile lined with cotton and with four bronze metal press stud fastenings, front has appliqued orange ribbon cross.
