BROOCH, 9c gold, dove, Alfred Jackson, c.1910

Horizontal, 9 carat gold, single bar brooch, with scalloped edged gold flower with blue artificial stone attached on top, flanked on either side by a gold dove with extended wings. Metal curlicue at each next to dove. Thin, twisted gold piece on top and bottom edges of bar, underneath doves and flower. Thin, gold chain attached beneath each bird’s head, linking them together. Thin, cylindrical, pointed metal pin attached to metal tube hinge on right side of back. Pin secured with metal ‘C’ clasp on back left. ‘9CT’ stamped on back, next to hallmark of a boxing lion with long tail.
