BROOCH, gold with blister pearl and pearl shell leaves, Donovan & Overland

Round, blister pearl, and carved, leaf shaped, pearl shell brooch with 9 carat gold back plate. Blister pearl is surrounded by five oval shaped leaves with carved veins attached to a stem on the top right. Flat gold back plate with curved vertical gold claws spaced around the outside of the pearl shell. Thin round pointed metal pin on back attached to round metal hinge, and secured by an open ended curled metal clasp. Gold metal chain with gold safety pin at end attached to small metal ring at top of back plate. ‘9CT’ and ‘(key)’ stamped into back.
