BROOCH, gold & quartz, shovel shape

Thin, horizontal, shovel shaped, gold brooch with raised, round piece of quartz set in gold on shovel blade. Triangular shaped blade attached to thin round shaft, with D shaped handle at end. Two small circles stamped into shaft near blade on front and back. Thin, cylindrical, pointed metal pin running length of shovel attached to metal tube hinge on back of shovel handle. Pin secured with thick metal ‘C’ clasp on back of blade.
