Child's dress and separate peplum (for a child of about 6 years old); made of white cotton pique decorated with olive green wool binding and scroll-work embroidery; simple fitted bodice decorated at front opening with scroll-work and bands; long tight sleeves trimmed with scroll-work at shoulde and wrist; high round neck trimmed with narrow band of broderie anglaise; inserted waistband; skirt knife-pleated at sides and back; hem decorated wit broad band of scroll-work motifs; garment originally had 11 decorative button down full front, concealing 3/4 length opening with 8 brass hooks and button hole loop; separate peplum (b), of same fabric and decoration, formed on waistband, opening at front with three hooks and loops, with big bow at back; hand and machine sewn.
