Black spotted white muslin. One-piece dress.
Bodice: High collar, higher at back. 5 cloth covered wire supports in collar. Black velvet ribbon at top and bottom of collar and band down centre front. Small bow at throat. Double layer of pintucked net, back & front, forms collar and part of bodice. Extends low over bust. Pouched effect created by gathering at centre front and applied trimming of crocheted lace and large flowers. Fitted sleeves, with layer of tighter net underneath. Daught at elbow and cuff with black velvet ribbon and lace frill. Silk lining. Back fastening, lining and over layer fastening separately with hooks and loops. Waist band of folded band of muslin. Skirt: Set flat onto bodice and gored. Band of crocheted machine lace with flowers down centre front and deep tuck in muslin all around. Back. Bodice ornamentation extends into line of "lace" flowers down back seam, ending in baubles just above train. Hem lined with cotton. Bodice slightly higher at back.
