Reputedly worn by Mrs. Fawcett, wife of Capt. Fawcett (of Pinjarra Mounted Volunteers). Yellow faille or grospoint. Fitted bodice, front fastening with 9 hooks on lining & 2 on waist band. Wide squa neck with fichu in same material with 8cm w. machine Valenciennes lace frill, sewn to back seam and coming to two points in front. Fitted elbow sleeves, with small kick-up achieved by gathering. Frill of matching lace. Bodice front pouched material set into waist band in pleats. Boned. 9 bones, 2 on lining each side of front opening , 1 on side seams, 3 on back seams. Bodice back lining cut in 4 sections, Faille in one section with no central seam. Round waist. Bow of same material at waist (centre back) with diamenti brooch se in.
