Trish’s work is born from philosophies found in her experience with regional Western Australia. She utilises recycled or easily found materials and constructs sculptural pieces that have been moulded from the weather and influenced by the land. The use of discarded tarpaulins allows us to ask questions about the social groups that have such things as their only shelter. Taking what was intended to be abandoned and transforming it into art, Trish navigates the gaps between the dichotomies we install in our language and our lives, and all of the spaces in between.
