Eunjeong Jeon

Eunjeong Jeon graduated from the School of Fine Art, Hong-ik University, Seoul in 1997, before completing a Master of Design at Curtin University in 2005. Working with wool felt, her garments replicate three dimensional, geometric shapes to create a design that hopes to elicit an emotional response from the wearer. The philosophy of her work is anchored in an understanding of applied emotional aesthetics to cognitive image processing of human interaction, associated movement and response. Through manipulation of the garment, the wearer is provided with a mechanism for the exploration and enhancement of self – expression. Using dress to highlight an emotional state may allow the wearer to change their behaviour.
