Cream silk. V-shaped insert of pleats sewn into lining at centre front and back. Top of inserts decorated with plaited silk strip. Fur trim on one side, over shoulder and down back. Self-fabric rosette at centre-front waist. Band around natural waistline, fastens at back with 2 hooks and eyes. 2 press-studs at centre back skirt opening. 2 hooks and eyes and 3 press-studs to one side of back under side panel, 7 hooks and eyes down centre back of lining. Overskirt has fur trim sewn over original tassell trim on hem. Overskirt overlaps at waist-front, is caught with stitches half-way down but otherwise loose. Underskirt extends below fur trim section, straight to ankles. Cotton undersleeve. Magyar, short sleeves caught in six places down shoulder with round 'pearls'. Embroidery knots down side panels front and back, at cuffs and down sides of over-skirt. Bodice lined with cotton. First section of underskirt (not seen) is cotton then silk below overskirt level. Part machine, part hand sewn.
