White, very fine cotton. Long sleeves, boat neck. Sleeves gathered at shoulders. Bodice has fine pin tucks falling from a V- shaped yoke. These extend only part-way down the bodice. Yoke joined to bodice with fine openwork insertion. Bodice is decorated with the same openwork as on yoke. Bodice slightly gathered at centre front and back. Skirt gathered all way round. Drawn-threadwork insertion where sleeve joins bodice. Also same insertion used twice on sleeve at wrists, with band of pin tucks in between. Row of pin tucks near hem. Opened at back, fastening with five buttons. All hand sewn.
