DRESS Infants

H1988.10

Cream crepe dress with short sleeves, draw string neck & three pearl shell buttons down the back. Cream cotton lace trims edges of nec & sleeves. The centre front of the bodice features an insertion of cotton netting with flowers on it running vertically from neck to waist in a zig-zag. The panel between the insertions has machine embroidered flowers on it. There is a triangle of the same insertion on the sleeves. Running horizontally around the hem line is the same net insertion with flower embroidered between the peaks. Just below the waist are four rows of smocking in a honey comb stitch. Machine sewn.
