[.a] hilt; Plain wooden handgrip secured by 2 central brass studs. Stamped crown/S/23 on both sides. Metal pommel with spring lock marked >< on one side and <-c->(vertical) on other.
blade; Broad double edged with central ridge. Stamped at ricasso ; crown/E.R./3 '02/ Sanderson Sheffield. Crossguard: short barrel ring and very short straight quillion with rounded flat finial.
