1907 pattern.
Sword Bayonet; Straight single edge steel blade. marked at ricasso with a crown over G.R. 1907,5,2, EFD. Other sider marked with Enfield Inspectors marks - joined arrows [*] sale mark and 'up arrow' acceptance mark. Single curved quillon [hooked?] and ring on guard.
Crosspiece stamped V-3740.
Scabbard; leather with 'blued' metal throat and chape. Leather stamped [D over up arrow] EFD over V3740.
Crown? over P5 over E and '10'. Mouth of throat also stamped.
provenance says Australian but suggest British, early model 1907 sword bayonet. Has no distinguishing Australian marks
