SWORD BAYONET, British

W1970.820

Yataghan style sword bayonet with long curved blade with deep furrel and double edged point.
Crossguard has single straight quillion with upswept fininal. Musket ring on other side also has upswept finial. Handgrip is cross hatched leather held by four rivets.
Marked at ricasso 'G.Salter + Co', back edge of blade 'L3' and other side of ricasso 'B over 78''.
No other inside markings. Black leather scabbard with metal throat and chape.
