Socket Bayonet, 1876 Pattern. Manufactured in 1884
[.a] Blade; Triangular - uniform on all three sides. Stamped at ricasso WD with up arrow above, Crown/E/27. 1/84 with ><.
Hilt; Socket of 1.7cm int. diameter.

[.b] Scabbard; Leather with brass locket and chape held together with studs. Chape has two grooves and is marked with an up arrow above WD. Locket also has four grooves, large teardrop shape frog and is stamped WD with up arrow above, Crown/E/12. Leather stamped Crown/E/25 1/84 + *
