BAYONET, saw-backed, German

Bavarian model 1914 saw backed bayonet.
[.a] Simple short quillion - saw toothed edged blade. Finishing in double edged point. Wooden hilt with servations on quillon edge as grip. Metal pommel badly rusted. Marks on blade; S and half circle facing left, circle enclosing initial or number and 63 under 3 small circles. Early 20th century.
[.b] scabbard is a solid metal sheath.
