Saya: black lacquer over wood, with traces of red lacquer depicting clouds, banded and grooved. Brass kojiri in the form of a chrysanthemum
Tsuka: lacquer over wood, ribbed with alternating black and gilt bands
Kashira: en suite with kojiri
Menuki: each modelled as a coiled dragon
Tsuba: fuchi and kuchi gane meet flush to form the tsuba. Iron, inlaid with silver dragons
