Sori: 1.2 cm, torii
Sugata: shinogi tsuruki, iori mune
Nakago: 13.5 cm, two mekugi ana, suriage
Kissaki: chu
Hada: tight itame, with masame in shinogi
Hamon: sugu omidare ba of nioi

Date: c. early 17th century
This wakizashi blade has been shortened. It is an example of the work of the Yamashiro Province or Chikuzen Province Nobuyoshi group of the Shinto period.

Type: HANDACHI
Saya: black lacquer over wood, with ashi, shibabiki and ishi dzuri of copper
Tsuka: large grain same bound with brown cotton, over wood
Fuchi/Kabuto Gane: en suite with scabbard and fittings
Tsuka Ai: three beans in copper and gilt
Tsuba: iron, of naga-maru-gata shape, with gilded copper inlay and overlay. Obverse decorated with Chinese temple landscape and three figures crossing a bridge; reverse, with a man fishing.

Dimensions: 6.5 x 7.0 x 0.3 cm.
