[1-3] Medium rectangular (landscape) black and orange/brown paper ‘SWAN/ STOUT’ labels. Black background with a central orange oval design. The design shows two barley sprigs and a small black swan logo above ‘SWAN/ STOUT/ A DISTINCTIVE FULL BODIED/ STOUT NATURALLY BREWED WITH/ THE FINEST MALT, HOPS AND/ BARLEY TO ENSURE AN/ EXCEPTIONAL, RICH/ CREAMY FLAVOUR./ 375ML’. Running vertically down the left side is a barcode and ‘THE SWAN BREWERY COMPANY PTY LIMITED/ 25 BAILE ROAD CANNING VALE/ WESTERN AUSTRALIA 6155’. And down the right side is ‘PRODUCT OF AUSTRALIA 7.4% ALC/VOL/ APPROX 2.2 STANDARD DRINKS PER BOTTLE’.
[4-6] Large rectangular black and orange/brown paper ‘SWAN/ STOUT’ label. Same central oval design as above, with the same wording, except for liquid measurement, this is ‘750ML’. Barcode and text running down left side is the same as above. Text down right side is ‘PRODUCT OF AUSTRALIA 7.4% ALC/VOL APPROX 4.3 STANDARD DRINKS PER BOTTLE’.
[7-8] Two large almost circular (slightly squared) gold and brown paper ‘SWAN/ STOUT’ labels. Gold border with orange background, in centre is a brown oval with a banner cutting horizontally through the centre. Above banner is a black swan image and ‘SWAN’, inside banner is ‘STOUT’ and beneath it inside oval is ‘SWAN STOUT IS BREWED IN THE WOOD/ AND FERMENTED IN THE BOTTLE. THE FINEST/ QUALITY BARLEY MALT IS BLENDED WITH/ ROASTED MALT AND HOPS TO ENSURE/ AN EXCEPTIONAL STOUT OF RICH,/ FULL BODIED FLAVOUR.’ Below this central design is ‘BREWED AND BOTTLED BY COOPER & SONS LTD. UNDER LICENCE FOR/ THE SWAN BREWERY COMPANY LIMITED, PERTH, WESTERN AUSTRALIA./ 750ML 6.8% ALC/VOL’.
[9] One small almost circular label (smaller version to one above) with exactly the same design and wording. Only difference is very bottom line ‘375ML 6.8% ALC/VOL’
[10-11] Two large oval labels, same design as [7-8] but with different text, and slightly brighter orange background. Central oval design is missing black swan image. Reads ‘SWAN/ STOUT/ THIS UNIQUE STOUT IS NATURALLY/ BREWED USING A CENTURIES OLD BREWING/ STYLE. THE FINEST QUALITY MALTED WHEAT/ AND BARLEY ARE BLENDED WITH ROASTED/ BARLEY AND HOPS TO ENSURE AN EXCEPTIONAL, RICH, FULL-BODIED/ FLAVOUR.’ And below the central oval, on the orange background is ‘THE SWAN BREWING COMPANY LIMITED/ 25 BAILE ROAD CANNING VALE WESTERN AUSTRALIA 6155/ 750ML 6.8% ALC/VOL’. Inside the gold border is ‘SS001’. Both labels have a small semicircle cut out of the bottom edge.
[10] also has 4 small notches cut out of the right side.
[12] One small label, exactly the same as above but a smaller size. The only text different is at very bottom ‘375ML 6.8% ALC/VOL’ and inside gold border ‘SS051’.
The envelope these labels are stored in reads ‘SWAN STOUT’.
