BEER LABELS, ‘KALGOORLIE/ EXTRA/ STOUT’

[1-3] Three small rectangular (portrait) brown and turquoise paper ‘EXTRA/ STOUT’ labels. Dark brown background with a central oval design. Oval has a light brown border with a banner of the same colour across the middle. The centre of the oval is a turquoise blue. Printed around the inside edge of the oval is ‘KALGOORLIE BREWERY, KALGOORLIE/ WESTERN AUSTRALIA’. Above the banner in the centre is a large ‘K’ with ‘TRADE/ MARK’ one word on each side. The banner reads ‘EXTRA STOUT’ and below this is ‘BREWED & BOTTLED/ BY THE/ KALGOORLIE BREWING/ COMPANY PROPRIETARY/ LIMITED/ KALGOORLIE/ 13 FL OZ’.

[4-6] Three small octagonal brown and turquoise paper labels. Same design as the central oval in [1-3]. Brown border with brown banner across the centre of a turquoise background. Internal design is arched in more of a circular shape than the one above, with text forming a circle rather than an arch. Gloss paper.

[7-9] Three medium oval shaped brown and turquoise ‘EXTRA/ STOUT’ labels. Similar design to [1-3] but using a lighter, more red brown. In the brown border around the outside is ‘BREWED AND BOTTLED FOR THE SWAN BREWERY CO. LTD., PERTH, WESTERN AUSTRALIA/ “KALGOORLIE MINER” PRINT’. One the inside edge of the border is ‘KALGOORLIE BREWERY, KALGOORLIE/ AUSTRALIA’. Above the brown banner is the large brown ‘K’ with ‘TRADE/MARK’ on either side. Banner reads ‘EXTRA STOUT’ and below the banner is ‘BREWED AND BOTTLED/ BY THE/ KALGOORLIE BREWING/ CO. LTD.’.
