White postcard with thin white fabric window with flap. Embroidered in yellow on bottom of window "SOUVENIR FROM FRANCE". Embroidered on flap, with each number using the colours of various european and english flags "1914 1915/1916/1917/1918" Letter in pencil on the reverse "Somewhere in france/March 19th 1918/Dear Lida,/Just a few lines to/let you know I received/your letter Oct 3rd I suppose/Jack say it is all right/getting his discharge. You/ask me in your letter to/tell you about the card/that is what I can't do till I get back. I did/not receive the parcel you/sent but I might be /lucky to get it. I hope/Mum is well again./Is it correct that Magg/got married to Percy/I heard so over here/We are out of the trenches/for a spell and it is/beginning to get lovely/and warm just as if we/were in AUstralia. Well/Lida I have told you/the news. So I'll close with/Love and best wishes from/Bob."
