Postcard with embroidered fabric in white frame. Purple pansy with yellow words beneath "GOOD NEWS FROM FRANCE". Message written on reverse in purple pencil "Somewhere in France/Dear Lida,/Just a few lines to let you know I am/still in the land of the living and in good/health as it leaves me at present. It is/still very cold here yet snow and rain/I never received an answer from my last letter I received a letter from my sister/this mail she said it was very gold/in South Australia in January. I think/it was a bit colder here. Hoping this/will find you in good health./I remain your Soldier Boy/Robert Gay"
