Blue flowers in bottom right corner. Printed in black on card "From One of the/ANZACS./Serving His/King and/Country./I clasp your hand/in fancy/But all the while I feel/My hand is fairly/itching for/The grip that's truly real/FORGET-ME-NOT/You are always in/my Thoughts/and Prayers". Message on reverse in black ink. "Add(?)/No. 2864/Pte/C/o Australian/Imperial Force/Base Post Office/Abroad./Dearest Lida/A line to say that/I am still alive,/at a No 3 (?) Aus Ause (?)/Hospital Dartford/near London. Hope /you received all/my letters. I do not / know how long I / shall be here. I do/not feel very well/just now so/good bye with lots/ of love and xxxxx/from Yours ever/Joe"
