Handwritten in brown ink next to the crest "2864/GNR/12TH LIGHT TRENCH MORTOR/BATTERY/ C/o Australian Imperial/Force/Base Post Office/Abroad". Message in brown ink on reverse "A chap gave me these/cards. so I though/of your collection/so you see I am/always thinking/of someone/Jack"
