Written on reverse in purple pencil "Somewhere in France/18th September/1916/Dear Lida/We have done another/march. It has been/raining all day the/roads are in a bad/state/Ihope you will not mind/this nice Post Card/I am nearly certain/that you will not/But I think every one/ will want to see your/Post cards Album./I aent you about two/dozen others last mail/I hope you got them/so now good bye with/lots of love from/Jack. E Bonney".
