Colour postcard with image of naval officer kissing the cheek of a girl in a sailor collar dress. Caption at bottom "A1./ "Prends pitie de celui qui liverarait son ame/Pour un nouveau baiser!" " Message written on back of postcard in purple/grey pencil.
"Dearest Lida/I went into the village to night and/got these postcards. I hope you will like them. No/doubt you will understand what they are doing/in the front of this. She is saying goodbye to Les/boy(?). It has been raining very heavily tonight &/the roads are very wet and muddy. They/ are preparing them for the winter, the girls/and boys are picking hops every day I/some times go and pick a few but I aam not /fond of the game. I would rather/" Letter incomplete - possibly continued on a another postcard in the collection.
