POSTCARD, World War 1

Small postcard. White background with two illustrations, divided by a diagonal white, red and blue bow. In top half is picture of two men in soldier's uniforms lying dwn taking aim at a target board with a gun. In bottom half is woman gesturing at an ink bottle, dip pen and paper. In the top half are the words in blue "NOW YOU'VE GONE IN FOR SHOOTING/AND HAVE LEARNED THE ART OF SIGHTING" and in the bottom half printed in blue "HERE'S SOME/"AMMUNITION"/HAVE A SHOT/AT LETTER WRITING!". Back of postcard has usual instructions "STAMP HERE", "THIS SIDE FOR CORRESPONDENCE" etc. Printed along the side in small maroon lettering "Entire British Production.". Card has not been written on. Scrawled in large numerals in purple pencil along the back, "2864".
