SKIRT

CH1981.5

Skirt: Black, flat at front, gathers at back. Two slits on side for fitting hand made calico pockets, which are attached at the waist and hang loose. Fringed braid on hem top protect bottom of skirt. Lower third of skirt lined with heavy cotton. Main part of skirt attached to 8cm band of heavier wool twill which is attached to the waistband. Fastens at side with hook and eye. Worn at ground length. Machine sewn, hand finished.
