Breeches, black cotton plush, of conservative cut; front fall-down, whole falls style, 7 button holes, lined with dark grey cotton twill; broad 'Bilston bearer' insides flaps buttoning up mid-line; total of 11 horn buttons on bearer and waist-band, 2 small black glass buttons over the two frog pockets, the whole lined with cream cotton twill; "puff" of black doeskin fabric at centre back, gathered by strap and buckle; side slits at knees with 3 buttons holes (no buttons), hook and eye and black wool tapes on bottom hem; hand-made throughout. Almost no signs of wear.
