SHAWL (with pin)

CH1981.8

Green wool with cotton fringe. Fringe threaded onto wool fabric and knotted. When worn the shawl is folded in half. At fold it is gathered into 3-4, 5cm wide folds in order to sit neatly under the headress. The shawl is crossed over at front and pinned in centre with brooch or hat pin. A pin can also be worn at the back attaching the shawl to the waist to give a folded/pouched effect.
