Santa outside the WA Museum - Kalgoorlie-Boulder

The Western Australian Museum – Kalgoorlie-Boulder is bringing the beach and a special guest to the Goldfields next weekend.

To coincide with the annual Saint Barbara’s Festival, children will have the opportunity to meet Santa and participate in free activities during the Museum’s Open Day on Saturday 5 December.

WA Museum – Kalgoorlie-Boulder Manager Zoe Scott said there will be art and craft activities, a hula hoop competition, face-painting, community stalls, water-based games, and lots of fun to be had on the beach.

“Photos with Santa were a huge hit last year so we are delighted he has accepted our invitation to come back to the WA Museum – Kalgoorlie-Boulder again for this year’s Open Day,” Ms Scott said.

“And due to popular demand, Santa said he will be available for photos on our beach on Sunday 6 December from 10am – 1pm as well.”

Sausage sizzles, icecreams, and coffee will be available to purchase.

“And of course, visitors can enjoy the air-conditioned comfort inside the WA Museum – Kalgoorlie-Boulder and explore the galleries,” Ms Scott said.

The Open Day runs from 9.30am – 1.30pm. Entry is free but donations are welcome.

One photograph with Santa will cost $10, or $15 for two, or $20 for three.
