George and Margaret were both from Beechworth, Victoria. George came to WA in 1893 during the gold rush, and returned to Beechworth in 1904 and became engaged to Margaret. They were married in St George's Cathedral, Perth, the following year. Photograph shows L-R: George Henry Gamel, Margaret Caroline Gamel (nee Trim), Margaret's brother Albert Trim, and her sister Annie Trim
