The wedding story:
At St Bridge’s [sic] Roman Catholic Church, West Perth, on Tuesday, April 14, Mr E.J. McMahon, a well-known resident of Kellerberrin, was married to Miss Rose Maggetti, formerly of Menzies. The ceremony was performed by the Rev Father Fagan, and the bride, who looked very nice in a splendidly-made costume of cream corded silk, trimmed with overall lace and draped with orange blossoms, was given away by Mr H. Orrel, of Perth. Miss Nellie McCarthy acted as bridesmaid, while Mr Frank McMahon, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. After the ceremony the happy couple were entertained by a number of their most intimate friends, who drank to the toast of their health and future happiness and prosperity. Mr and Mrs McMahon, who were the recipients of many handsome wedding presents, spent their honeymoon in Perth.
