Abstract
Aborigines from the southern Kimberley. Western Australia have provided data on stone and shell adze blades found on surface artefact sealters, The methods of bafting these are described and illustrated with examples from Museum collections and the relationship between stone or shell bladed adzes and contemporary metal bladed adzes is discussed, The distribution of each type in the Kimberley Region is presented.
