The climatic environment of the Carnarvon Basin, Western AustraliaWA Museum Records and Supplements | Updated 8 years agoABSTRACT – We discuss aspects of climate, both past and present, as important geographical controls on ecological structuring and evolution in the Carnarvon Basin. Attention is drawn to the variability inherent in the region's climate, and its strong drought 'signature'. Future climates may well differ from the contemporary climatic regime, but it is too early for regional projections.
