BIRDS OF TARIN ROCK AND NORTH TARIN ROCK RESERVESWA Museum Records and Supplements | Updated 1 decade agoIntroduction: Many aspects of the birds of the Western Australia wheatbelt are poorly known. There has been no attempt to document distributions before or after extensive clearing of about 80% of the region for agriculture. The small amount of information published since clearing has tended to include only local lists of species with no attempt to examine the avifauna of the wheatbelt or relate it to the vegetation, for example, McKenzie, Burbidge & Marchant (1973) and McKenzie and Youngson (1975).
