WEDDING DRESS, ivory satin

Full length, one piece long sleeved slimline ivory satin wedding dress with 1.2m long train. Dress is unlined. Bodice gathered underneath bustline with flat triangular panel.High square neck line with 10cm slit down front.Opens down back with 31 satin-covered buttons and semi-circle loop button holes. Has two triangular pieces of material which fold down at back of collar to sit alongside top 4 buttons. Long sleeved, gathered at shoulder, close fitting at wrist and finishing in V-shape extending over back of hand. Opens at back of sleeve from mid-forearm to wrist with 8 decorative satin covered buttons, and fastens with 4 concealed press studs. Skirt is slimline through to knee, then flares out (fishtail-like). Hem of skirt and train edged with satin look rick rack. Train is cut on bias from several pieces of material.
Dress originally worn with headdress and veil, no longer extant.
