One piece dress of ivory satin. Waisted. Skirt cut in straight lines opening front to reveal under panel of lace net. Bodice slightly gathered onto waistband at centre front; pleated crossover panels fastening with simulated pearl and diamond buckles, with rouched inserts at front and back and wide panels of lace net. Short sleeves with lace net inserts and rouched edging. Panel train attached at waist. Edges of dress and train decorated with cluster of simulated seed pearls. Underskirt of glazed cotton with lace hem. The original hand worked lace train no longer exists. When worn the dress was trimmed with sprays of orange blossom and a bouquet of roses and carnations.
